We are a sourcing company based in Hong Kong with an extensive network in Mainland China. Our aim is to help our clients in sourcing their products from China, by maintaining their required quality standards and most importantly by helping them making consistent savings.

In the past few years China has consolidated its global status as the manufacturing base of the world as well as one of the fastest growing markets and economies. Contrary to common misperceptions, made in China is no more necessarily synonymous with bad quality.

The massive investments of resources and know-how of American, European and Japanese companies, as well as the modernization of the education system, has dramatically improved Chinese technological capabilities. Whereas just a few years ago the major exports where represented by labor intensive low tech products, such as garment accessories and plastic toys, today we are confronted with a different picture. China has become a major exporter of more advanced products, ranging from electrical appliances, to personal computers and cars.

We understand that operating with China is not easy due to difficulties in communication, language, mentality, distance and many others. A business culture that does not promote transparency and accountability and a weak legal and regulatory system further hinder potential cooperation.

In spite of this, the pros far outweigh the cons, as a result, more than 480 of the Fortune 500 companies have directly invested in China. Unfortunately, throughout our 10 years experience in China, we have seen a great deal of hesitations and failures from European SME to embrace this great opportunity.

That is why we saw this vacuum and we decided to do something about it by founding Metis Solutions as the bridge to China.

Our targets are companies that want to make consistent savings by shifting or consolidating their procurement operations to China, but still do not have the necessary confidence, resources or knowledge to operate smoothly in a such a difficult business environment.

Our main goal is simple: to make our clients save, both in terms of money and time.
